PMO Dashboard Examples for GCC Giga-Projects
Practical PMO dashboard layouts, KPI selection and reporting cadences — tuned for UAE, Saudi Vision 2030 and Gulf giga-project pace. Every example maps to a template you can implement in SiteAxis or StratexHub.
1. Executive PMO dashboard (one-page brief)
The board or steerco brief. One page, ten tiles. Built for ministers, PIF portfolio committees and CEO reviews — where every KPI must be defensible on the spot.
- Portfolio schedule adherence (SPI) and cost performance (CPI).
- Benefits realised (SAR) vs. plan.
- Strategic alignment % against Vision 2030 / VRP pillars.
- Top 5 risks with mitigation owner and due date.
- HSE headline: incidents, LTIFR, safe man-hours.
- Localisation / Saudization % where applicable.
- Stage-gate approvals pending governance.
- Cash: committed vs. spent vs. forecast.
- ESG / Net-Zero contribution (UAE, KSA).
- AI insight tile — 1 sentence, natural language.
2. Programme PMO dashboard (package rollup)
For programme directors managing dozens of concurrent packages across NEOM, Diriyah, Red Sea, Qiddiya, Expo City Dubai or the UAE Net-Zero delivery portfolio. Focus is on where to intervene this week.
- Package heatmap: schedule × cost × risk, RAG-coloured.
- Contractor performance leaderboard.
- Earned value (BCWP, ACWP, BCWS) per package.
- RFI / NCR / snag ageing.
- Milestones due in the next 30 days.
- Interface risks between packages.
3. Construction PMO dashboard (site level)
The field-first view — the layer SiteAxis is purpose-built for. Refreshed daily from the site, so consultants and the client PMO see the same numbers as the contractor.
- Manpower on site vs. plan (by trade).
- Daily progress % against baseline.
- HSE observations, near-misses and incidents.
- Materials on site / to be delivered.
- RFIs, NCRs and snag closure velocity.
- Weather / stoppage log.
4. Strategy Management Office (SMO) dashboard
The SMO layer — powered by StratexHub. Where the enterprise translates Vision 2030 pillars into initiatives, OKRs and benefits.
- Strategy map with cascading OKRs.
- Balanced scorecard per pillar.
- Initiative health (green / amber / red) with owner.
- Benefits realisation curve.
- Governance calendar: committees, approvals, RACI.
- Stratex AI copilot insight.
KPI selection for Vision 2030 programmes
A KPI earns its place on a Vision 2030 dashboard only if it is: (1) mapped to a VRP pillar or ministerial KPI, (2) refreshed on a defensible cadence, and (3) owned by a named executive. Avoid vanity KPIs — every ministerial reviewer asks who owns the number and how it was calculated.
Reporting cadences that work in the GCC
- Daily — site data, HSE, manpower (SiteAxis).
- Weekly — project status, RFI/NCR ageing, risks.
- Monthly — portfolio, benefits, EPMO review, ministerial brief.
- Quarterly — board / PIF / VRP steerco.
Common pitfalls
- Ten dashboards, ten definitions of the same KPI.
- Slides re-drawn manually every month — always ship stale.
- English-only briefs going to Arabic ministerial reviewers.
- Site data trapped in a contractor spreadsheet, not the client PMO.
